Jim Daigle
Founder and President
Jim founded Sports
Systems in 1986 to develop computer software and related services for
professional sports leagues. The most prominent of these systems is still
used today by Major League Baseball to collect all statistics at every
game.
Jim shifted the
company's focus to sports news distribution for the sports industry in 1994
and has led its growth from start-up into a multi-million-dollar global
technology service business for the sports industry.
He began his career
as a computer programmer and project manager for the Navy, working as a
civilian contractor at the Pentagon and later for the White House. He
performed similar functions for Sports Information Data Base and was a bond
futures analyst for Shearson/Lehman Brothers prior to founding Sports
Systems.
Jim earned a B.S. in
business and computer science at the College
of William & Mary, has done
post-graduate work at New York University,
and graduated from MIT's Birthing of Giants program for entrepreneurs in
June 2002.
