BASKETBALL PRESS CREDENTIAL POLICY


Credentials
Credentials for Marquette home games are issued to working media only and should be requested as early as possible due to space limitations and demand. Media organizations covering MU and the visiting school on a regular basis will receive top priority. Requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance of each home game. Season passes will be provided prior to the season for all those who plan to cover the Golden Eagles throughout the entire season. Other credentials will be issued on a game-by-game basis.

Media credentials are issued solely to the person identified on it. It may not be transferred or used by any other person. Acceptance of a media credential requires compliance with all Marquette University rules and regulations applicable to the media credential. Any breach or failure to comply with these terms, conditions, rules and/or regulations may result in the cancellation and withdrawal of the media credential, including but not limited to expulsion from the athletics event for which it was issued, and denial of a media credential for any and all future athletics events.

Media Will Call
Credentials will be held at the Media Entrance (Arena Control at the Bradley Center) for pick up on the day of the game approximately two hours prior to tip-off. Will call for women's games is located at the main entrance of the Al McGuire Center (770 N. 12th Street, between Wisconsin and Wells).

Credential Priority
Credentials are for WORKING MEDIA ONLY and will be allocated with the appropriate work space in the media seating areas according to the following priority:

  1. Originating radio and television outlets;
  2. Daily newspapers providing regular coverage of Marquette and its opponent;
  3. National news agencies servicing the print and electronic media;
  4. Radio and television outlets providing regular coverage of Marquette and its opponent;
  5. National or regional print and electronic media;
  6. Officially-sanctioned student media, specialty publications and broadcast publications of Marquette and its opponents;
  7. Other types of print and electronic media.

Parking
Parking is NOT provided to both home and visiting members of the media. There are several parking structures within walking distance to the Bradley Center and Al McGuire Center.

Photographers
Photographers are limited to working in the designated areas at each baseline, unless other arrangements have been made with the Athletics Media Relations Office.

Radio & TV
All requests for broadcasting a Marquette game from the Bradley Center must be made through Scott Kuykendall, Assistant Athletic Director. Two analog and one ISDN line are available on a courtesy basis for visiting radio for both men's and women's games. For television broadcasts at the Al McGuire Center, contact Amy Ufnowski.

Postgame
Per BIG EAST Conference policy, the head coaches for both teams will be made available to the media in the interview room. The order of appearance will be determined by postgame radio/television commitments of the coaches.

The Marquette men's and women's locker rooms are closed to all members of the media. Marquette players that are requested by the media will be brought to the interview room. The Bradley Center press room is located in the west corridor on the floor level of the arena. The Al McGuire Center media room is located adjacent to the main lobby on the first floor.

Game Services
The Marquette Athletics Media Relations Office will provide game programs, notes, statistics and media guides for both teams prior to each home game. An NCAA box score, and play-by-play will be made available at halftime and post game. Television monitors displaying in-game statistics are available and located along press row.

Internet Services
Marquette University’s athletic website is designed and hosted by CSTV’s College Sports Online. Located at www.gomarquette.com, the site contains updated game notes, statistics, box scores and other helpful information related to Marquette basketball. A PDF version of the 2009-10 media guide is also available on-line.


Please Note: Season credential requests will only be accepted through 5 p.m., October 31, 2009. Please submit all season requests in prior to that time. Also, please gather all your organization's credential requests prior to starting this process and submit requests at one time. Thank you.
