Welcome to the media credentialing site for the 2008 Phillips 66 Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships. The tournaments will be held March 11-15 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Please make sure to read all information on this site before requesting credentials. We look forward to working with you as you make preparations to cover the MWC Basketball Championships.

NOTICE OF CREDENTIAL USE CONDITIONS

The bearer and his or her assigning news agency/organization ("Agency") of this Credential acknowledges receipt and review of, and agrees to be bound by, the Event Credential Use Conditions form, which he/she or an authorized representative has signed. This credential is issued for the sole purpose of providing venue access to an individual who is working on a specific assignment for a legitimate news organization or an authorized provider of game-related services (as employee or agent) in connection with the Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships and the events, activities, and interviews, relating thereto (collectively hereafter, the "Event"). This credential is non-transferable and the Mountain West Conference or its designee may at any time revoke this credential and/or the rights granted hereunder for any reason in its sole discretion. Any unauthorized use of this credential or violation of its terms may subject bearer and/or assigning news organization to ejection from the venue, revocation of the credential, denial of access to a Mountain West Conference venue in the future, prosecution for civil or criminal trespass, and any other remedies available under the law.

Unless expressly authorized in writing by the Mountain West Conference, the use distribution, exhibition, reproduction, adaptation, display, performance or publication in any form of any photograph, drawing, film, audio or video recording, [blog], account or description of the Event or any excerpt of the foregoing (collectively "Agency Materials"), taken or made by the bearer or his or her assigning news organization shall be limited to news coverage of the Event by the assigning news organization to which this credential is issued. For the avoidance of doubt, Agency Materials set forth above may not be exploited by the bearer or his or her assigning news organization at any time for any purpose other than news and editorial use [and any live online update created in the form of a blog may only report score and time remaining in the game]. Any Agency Materials taking the form of film, video, or digital video recordings may only be used in connection with a regularly scheduled television newscast aired by the Agency within a seven (7) day period following the Event, and use of the Video Materials from the Event in such newscasts shall not exceed three (3) minutes in length. The bearer of this credential and his or her news organization further agree to not transmit or display any video, audio, pictures, photographs, or other non-text based accounts or descriptions of the Event in any media while the Event or the live network presentation of the Event is in progress, except with advance written permission of the Mountain West Conference.

All ownership, copyright, trademark and property rights in the Event (including without limitation, the statistics thereof) and in any telecast, broadcast, transmission or recording thereof shall remain the sole property of the Mountain West Conference, unless otherwise conveyed via separate agreement between the Mountain West Conference and its broadcast partners, and no such rights are conferred or intended to be conferred or created on behalf of any other person or entity by the issuance of this credential.

The bearer of this Credential and his or her employer or assigning news organization: (i) assume all risk incident to the performance of services by the bearer, assume all risk incident to the bearer's attendance at the Event and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the conferences, its member institutions, and their respective affiliates, agents and employees from and against all liability, loss, damage or expense resulting from or arising out of the bearer's presence at the venue, howsoever caused, whether by negligence or otherwise; and (ii) grant permission to the institution and its designees to utilize without compensation the bearer's images, likeness and/or voice in any photograph or live or recorded video or audio display or other transmission or reproduction of the Event or in any excerpt thereof.
