College Football Playoff – Inaugural CFP Championship Game
In its inaugural year, the CFP media operations staff had a challenge. With semifinal games being played just 10 days prior to the national championship, the CFP needed information from potential attendees well before that time in order to plan for – among other things – hotel guarantees at the media center. Sports Systems’ PressPass was a perfect solution.
► A streamlined process by which to anticipate accreditation and hotel needs based on the potential outcomes of the semifinal games
► Automated communications to the potential covering media triggered upon semifinal game outcome to provide application and hotel information updates
► Time-critical data sorting and updates to ensure accurate information on which to base credentials processing, hotel room block reservation updates and mobile app details
► Personalized mobile app to provide approved media helpful onsite information and timely updates in the most convenient and updateable format: on their mobile device
"For more than a decade, I have worked closely with the Sports Systems family in overseeing the database management of media operations. Over the years, the company has remained proactive in listening to the customer, adapting the system with new technology and customer service. Sports Systems came onto the scene for college football bowl games during a time when many of us were still spending hours building spreadsheets, compiling mailings and various other tedious, time-consuming processes. Their programs allowed for a much more seamless process that was not only time efficient, but also much more effective. Brian Binette has been a true friend during the BCS era and continues to bring his passion and knowledge to this space for the College Football Playoff."

BNP Paribas Open
The BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA is one of the ATP/WTA Tour’s premier events. After several years of providing manual accreditation services, event managers were looking for a way to eliminate manual paper accreditation forms and to better secure event access and parking.
► Fully online accreditation process complete with automated emails via PressPass
► Eliminating countless manual staff hours by providing complete, system-generated accreditation forms via simple export from the PressPass accreditation system
► Personalized barcoded parking/gate passes emailed to each approved attendee prior to the tournament, providing added security and a more convenient entry mechanism for attendees
"I wanted to take a moment to thank Sports Systems for all you do for us here at the BNP Paribas Open. In addition to providing a very user friendly and complete online application process, you were able to create a printable PDF for us of the information we need in order to make each credential for not only our VIP system but also a PDF that interfaced with the existing Media application system. Those two saved us countless hours of duplicating the information on our own forms.
I also value your ability to understand our event and find ways to make my job easier. I can discuss a concept with you and appreciate how you are able to create or suggest an alternate solution that works better, such as the Entry Pass system we implemented this past year.
I look forward to continue working with you and know we’re in good hands with Sports Systems!"
